Family friendly restaurant with a great patio and good selection of food, wine and drinks. Crosby's is in the heart of the Southport corridor and is always packed so I'd recommend a reservation. But you can bring your dogs on the patio and it's always filled with kids which is nice. We started with the deviled eggs (5/5) which were unreal, then split crab cakes (5/5) and the spaetzle Mac and cheese (5/5) was one of the best we've had. Pair that with their old fashioned for a great meal. Will be back soon to try their turkey burger which looks really good.

All over amazing restaurant. One of the best in Chicago. Positioned in a really nice part of the city, the interior is decorated beautifully and the food is delicious. Would definitely recommend the cornbread and (massive!) carrot cake. A big thank you to Bella who was so kind and extremely hard working (the restaurant was busy and she was non-stop working and always with a big smile). Would 100% recommend and hope to come again when we are next over from the UK!

I ate a late lunch here on a Friday in August. The waiter was friendly, attentive and responsive. He was knowledgeable about the menu and gluten-free options. I dined solo. I had the salmon with mashed potatoes. The salmon was cooked correctly, not overcooked, which was great and can be hard to find. The mashed potatoes had good flavor. I will probably come back. Areas for improvement: Don't clean floors with diners present. Hosts can be more friendly when asked questions about accommodations for allergies.

Lobster deviled eggs are the best. It’s a must-have. Chorizo Tostadas were very good. The French toast was light and very delicious but the Lakeview omelet was OK. I have added Eggs Benedict before at this place and they were amazing. The service is always great and the food quality is top-notch.

We went for brunch on Saturday early afternoon. There is a cocktail menu along with some specials; but we opted for coffee, water, and a bloody mary. We started with some monkey bread and blueberry cornbread. We ordered avocado toast, eggs benedict and biscuits & sausage gravy. Don't forget to add hashbrowns if not included with your entree - they are fantastic!!! Monkey Bread - similar to bread yeast rolls with carmel on the bottom and some butter on top. Nothing too special. Blueberry cornbread - this was way better than expected. Flaky, full of blueberries, not too sweet, but so tasty. MUST-ORDER ITEM! Eggs Benedict - two halves with full poached eggs on bacon with hollandaise sauce. Hashbrowns comes with. These were super tasty and great! I would choose these again. I tried some of the Biscuits & Sausage Gravy. The biscuit was very dense and dry to me, but the sauage gravy was excellent. Avocado Toast - they use a brioche-type bread, which is excellent and avocado mixed with spices gives it a little kick. It comes with a side salad that looked wonderful, but I didn't try it. The restaurants has tables and booths. Although the chairs are wooden and hard if you are in place for over an hour. There is also a bar area. As for holding a conversation, it wasn't too loud during the afternoon. It was getting quite busy, but we still had no trouble talking amongst our group. Our service started off great. Discussing the menu options and famous dishes, etc. We were served water which is served from a bottle brought over from the bar area. However, we never received a refill on water and ended up grabbing it ourself from the bar. In fact, even our last round of drinks and refills were never brought to us. We asked and had to remind our server. Entrees were around the $17-22 range. I would visit again.

Chris N is an amazing waiter. The attention to Detail . The food was great too. Definitely order the blueberry corn bread, it was a hit. The potato and bacon croquettes was also very good. I was not a fan of the hash browns, I prefer regular old shredded hashbrowns.
